SEEFELD – a renowned holiday resort nestled between the Alpenpark Karwendel nature reserve and the Wetterstein Massif. The naturally evolved Tyrolean village of 3,000 inhabitants and a capacity for 8,600 guests is an eternal fascination due to its particularly beautiful landscapes and sunny site on a high alpine plateau, 1,200 meters above sea level. And to top it off, this the point of departure for a host of hikes into the nearby vicinity.
Word has it that many regular guests come back to Seefeld again and again merely because there is so much going on here. On the other hand, many come because they can enjoy so much peace and quiet. And guess what: both are true. The four seasons are full of stimulating events, both day and night. International stars make their entrance. From the traditional flower parade, Blumencorso, all the way to the 100,000-Candle festival and Seefeld’s Snow Party. Simply choose your own favourite high point!
If the claim is made that Seefeld is lengths ahead of the competition, it probably refers to the lengths of cross country skis which draw their tracks through the tranquil, unspoilt winter landscapes. You are really close to nature here, yet never overbearing. Summertime also offers its unique charms: discover the scenic gems on one of the countless hikes in the Wildmoos nature reserve, in the nearby Wetterstein Massif or in the Alpenpark Karwendel.
